"Being a bridesmaid in this wedding, I got to stay close to the bride and get ready in the same room. We’ve all seen those “bridesmaids and bride prep” pictures. They’re full of love, fun and sometimes happy tears. But what they don’t tell you is how awkward they can sometimes be and how hard it is to get a group of girls to be ok with how they look in the pictures. I’ve been in a bridesmaid 6 times now! (I’ve got a lot of friends lol). And while their photographers were nice and took good pictures, Nicole was definitely my favorite. She made all of us feel so comfortable. She was joining in on conversations, telling stories and jokes and completely took the awkwardness out of having a camera in your face. She captured every sweet, silly and beautiful moment I remembered from that special time with my sister-in-law. Including me fixing her necklace as it was tangled when she put it on. A small moment that might be insignificant to others but it one I am so glad I could look back on and see again. I played a small role in their wedding but got to take in another sister and help her look beautiful as she married my brother. That’s what that picture said to me, and she gave that to me.
Then the ceremony came. She was a ghost. I didn’t even realize she was there. But the shots she got seemed like she was everywhere. All at once. Capturing sweet moments of friends and family that I didn’t even know happened since I was up front. I’ve seen photographers practically standing next to the couple getting married just to get a certain picture which, in my opinion, ruins a sweet moment for the people watching. She got so many good pictures of the ceremony and the dinner to follow. We could hardly choose which to post and print. As well as moments, she also captured small details of the venue and decor.
On to the reception. We got tons of pictures of pretty much everyone dancing. But some of the more special ones were the kid's silly moments on the dance floor. As we kept scrolling we also saw sweet moments with our grandparents too. Those mean a lot because it is not everyday our family gets out on a dance floor. We were so grateful for those. We also got pictures with cool effects she added which blurred lights or showed motion with the guests dancing. Later in the night there was a small “The Office” tribute with the Forever dance (from Jim and Pam's wedding) and Nicole actually caught our reference and couldn’t stop laughing.
It was nice to have someone so laid back and go with the flow instead of someone that needed specific poses and moments to happen to allow her to take good pictures. I’ve never written a review but Nicole came all the way to California to capture the most important moments (so far) in my family’s weddings. After that day I followed her on Instagram and really got to know her from her silly videos and posts. I see how hard she works and how much she loves and appreciates her clients. When you have a photographer that cares about her clients, you get amazing photos. So I’m writing a review to make sure people know what a good experience we had with her. Trusting someone to capture these important moments is hard. Trust, if you’re in Nicole’s hands, she will capture the moments that you’ll want to look back on too."
